Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

4 Beautiful Dachshund puppies looking for good homes. 1 Black and Tan Dog 1 Brown Spotty Dog 1 Brown Dog 1 Brown Spotty Bitch All 4 have been brought up in a family home, with fellow dogs and cats. They have also bbrought up with my son so very friendly and affectionate, love nothing more than playing. But also love sitting on my lap while working, so very loving. I have started there house training and all doing very well, also had vet approved feed, and fully upto date with worming, and vaccinations. Dad was full pedigree Brown Spotty, mum a family pet who can been seen is a Black and Tan (not pedigree but Gran and Grandad were) I have minded these beautiful babies, and best of home only apply.
